Is there a way to try out DISCUS 3D?
Yes. Similar to all of the other DISCUS modules, you can try DISCUS 3D before buying. Contact DISCUS Sales to learn more about the trial and evaluation process.
Is DISCUS 3D included with DISCUS Desktop?
No. DISCUS 3D is an add-on to DISCUS Desktop that is available for a separate license fee, and adds news capabilities to DISCUS.
How do I access and use DISCUS 3D?
DISCUS 3D will appear as an additional menu pad at the top of the main DISCUS Desktop window, and the model panel will have additional controls and tool bars. In addition, there are additional windows for measuring the model, getting entity information, etc.
Does DISCUS 3D work on all 3D CAD formats?
DISCUS 3D uses a specialized 3D engine to display and analyze the CAD models. The supported formats include:

Does DISCUS 3D open CAD drawing files?
No, DISCUS 3D only opens the 3D CAD model. It does not open any associated CAD 2D drawing files.
Does it modify the CAD file?
No, DISCUS 3D does not modify the original CAD file.
What are the technical requirements necessary to use DISCUS 3D?
The requirements are listed below. There is a correlation between the model size and the amount of memory required. Larger CAD models require more RAM (note: a 64-bit version of DISCUS 3D will soon be released, which will require a 64-bit version of Windows 7).
