DISCUS Basic Upgrading to 2.0
Customers with Support and Maintenance or a Subscription license can upgrade DISCUS 1.x to DISCUS Basic 2.0 automatically, at no additional charge. If you do not know if you meet this criteria, please ask us and we'll promptly send a reply.
To upgrade to the latest version of DISCUS Basic 2.0:
- Download - Download DISCUS 2.0 and save the install program on your PC.
- Uninstall - Uninstall any previous version of DISCUS 1.x. The uninstall process will not affect any TDP data you have created. You can uninstall in one of two ways:
- Go to Start / Control Panel / Add Remove Programs and look for the DISCUS icon OR
- Go to Start / All Programs / DISCUS / Uninstall DISCUS
- Install - Run the install program that was downloaded to your PC. This will install the latest version of DISCUS Basic.
- Licensing - Once you have installed 2.0, you will need to install a valid 2.0 license. After you install DISCUS Basic 2.0, you will have 30 days to obtain a valid 2.0 license. After 30 days your DISCUS Basic will revert to free Trial mode and operate with limited cababilities.
Important Note: Only customers with Support and Maintance or Subscription Licenses are eligible to upgrade to 2.0. for free. If you are a customer who purchased a Subscription License or a One-Time Fee License with Support and Maintenance, you are eligible.
If you do not meet this criteria, we encourage you to purchase Annual Support and Maintenance so you can experience the new features that DISCUS Basic 2.0 provides.
