The AS9102 Rev B Standard indicates a more stringent and traceable use of the CMM output. Those who use CMM for results data can may not be able attach the CMM to the AS9102 report for their customers. IF the CMM report has a one-to-one relationship with the ballooned drawing, then the CMM report can be attached. But if such a relationship does not exist, then the user needs to enter the result value and not rely only on the attachment.

DISCUS has the ability to use a CMM report (CSV file for example) and associate it to the balloon number, where no association exists. This will meet the requirement of the new AS9102 Rev B as then the data populates the form and the associated characteristic is mapped to the appropriate value in the CMM.
