To find this option, go to the DISCUS menu item Drawing/Balloon Properties, near the bottom of the dialog enter a value like K for indicating a Key characteristic. When you flag that item as Key in the Bill of Characteristics with a value of ‘yes’, that balloon will have the unique identifier.
